Mindfulness and Cancer Courses in North Wales

Mindfulness Courses connected with the Alaw Unit have been running in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor (UK) since 2001.

The next course will be starting soon after Easter 2018 and will be taught by Trish Bartley in Bangor. Contact Trish on trish@trishbartley.co.uk if you are interested in joining the programme. Places are limited.

Feeder sessions are planned for those keen to learn mindfulness for their own support and waiting for a course. Contact Trish on trish@trishbartley.co.uk if you want to be involved.

Email trish@trishbartley.co.uk if you have any questions or want more information.

Mindfulness Follow Up Sessions

Mindfulness Drop In Session arrangements have changed. They are no longer held in Alaw.

You are invited instead to join other mindfulness graduates at Wheldon Building, Deiniol Road, Bangor on the last Monday of the month generally at 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Email Judith Soulsby on j.g.soulsby@bangor.ac.uk for more information - or to to ask her to add you to her list for regular email reminders. These sessions are led by one of the experienced mindfulness Bangor teachers - including Trish Bartley and Sali Burns.

Upcoming Mindfulness Events

There will be regular silent Days of Practice at Trigonos. The next one will take place on in May 2018 or possibly sooner. Email Trish on trish@trishbartley.co.uk if you would like to join us. These days of practice are open to anyone who has attended a previous course. There is a small cost to cover lunch and refreshments.

Always we hope
Someone else has the answer
Some other place will be better,
Some other time it will all turn out.
This is it.

No one else has the answer
No other place will be better,
And it has already turned out.
At the center of your being
You have the answer,
You know who you are
And you know what you want.

There is no need
To run outside
For better seeing.
Nor to peer from a window
Rather abide at the center of your being;
For the more you leave it, the less you learn.

Search your heart
And see
The way to do
Is to be.
